Extremely rare UNCUT English language import version of aka 'L'Assassino Ha Riservato Nove Poltrone' the obscure and brilliant 1974 Italian giallo/slasher/horror film directed by Giuseppe Bennati.

Veteran Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Bennati raises the quotient of sex and violence with this tale of a wealthy man named Patrick Davenant (Chris Avram) who invites nine guests to an old, abandoned theater where a whole family was slaughtered in an unsolved mass murder years ago. Patrick gathers this group of actors to rehearse their parts for his new stage production. Bad luck plagues the production and unusual, spooky events begin to take place. The group finally learns that the theater is haunted by a ghostly caretaker who begins to mutilate and murder his victims one by one.

The film is notorious among Eurosleaze buffs for one jaw-dropping sequence in which a female victim is stabbed between the legs several times before having her hand nailed to a wooden post, and the obligatory nudity and softcore lesbian scenes. There is also a strange subplot involving an occult curse.

An excellent film which contains some very nasty, over the top, gory highlights and plenty of nudity.
