Uncut, original Spanish version of aka 'World of the Vampires' the excellent and creepy 1961 gothic Mexican vampire/horror film directed by Alfonso Corona Blake and produced by Abel Salazar.

Count Sergio Sotubai (Guillermo Murray) , the vampire, returns from his grave followed by monster bats to revenge his ancestors. His target is Professor Kolman and his attractive nieces, Leonor and Mirta. The girls are kidnapped and taken to a cave full of horrors. Only Rodolfo, an investigator of the occult, knows the secret that could destroy the vampire. And he'll be fighting for his own life.

In the 19th century in Hungary, the original Count Subotai unified the powers of the Dark Realm to destroy mankind. Julius Kolman, an occult expert in Transylvania, learned the secrets of the occult and used them to thwart the plans of the Subotai clan by destroying the Count with a stake through his heart. Then, the remaining Subotai family hunted down and killed all who carried the Kolman name, but one escaped to America. Now, the descendant of the Count returns to avenge his ancestors by destroying the one surviving member of the Kolman lineage as well as transforming his two beautiful nieces into vampires to join his fraternity of hellish creatures.

The film opens with the rising of the vampire who glides through his cobweb-ridden castle and, in a subterranean vault, plays and organ with pipes made of human bones and skulls, while in the forest above a jeep is stopped by a cloud of smoke that turns into a horde of vampires. One of the jeep's female occupants is tied to a Satanic sacrificial altar while the vampire hovers over her.

The vampire must avenge his family curse by destroying Professor Kolman who happens to have two attractive young nieces (Mirta and Leonor). The vampire's main opponent is Rodoflo, an expert occultist, who is intent on destroying the latest lineage of vampires.

An excellent and very creepy gothic vampire film with superb and eerie atmosphere along with sexy vampire women with just the right amount of eyeliner!

Starring Mauricio Garces, Erna Martha Bauman as Leonor Kolman, Silvia Fournier as Mirta Kolman, Guillermo Murray as Count Sergio Subotai, Jose Baviera, Yolanda Margain, Carlos Nieto, Maricarmen Vela Alfredo Wally Barron, Alicia Moreno and Alvaro Matute.

This hard to find release is the original, uncut Spanish 84 minutes 53 seconds version of the film!

This release is the only truly uncut original Spanish version of the film released worldwide.
